Facial expressions can convey a lot. Consider eyeliner micropigmentation as a low-maintenance solution for flawlessly defined eyes. Choose from various looks such as primary, wedge, or eyelash enhancement for top liner, and add a bottom liner for a more striking appearance.

The advantages of eyeliner tattoos

  • Enhance eye and lash definition for a natural look.
  • Maintain a polished appearance around the clock with permanent eyeliner makeup.
  • Being waterproof and sweatproof is beneficial for those with active lifestyles or oily skin, as it prevents makeup from smudging and wearing off quickly.
  • Convenience can enhance daily living and help save time.
  • This eyeliner tattoo procedure helps individuals with vision impairments or unsteady hands apply makeup more easily.
  • Semi-permanent eyeliner tattoo solution for individuals with cosmetics allergies.

  • Presence of an autoimmune disease necessitates clearance from a medical professional.
  • On blood thinners
  • Have epilepsy
  • The individual is experiencing infections, diseases, or illness.
  • Have major heart problems
  • Had an organ transplant
  • Individuals with skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, irritations like rashes, sunburn, or acne should be cautious if they have them in or near the procedure area.

Other Considerations:

  • Hooded eyelids can sometimes restrict the application of eyeliner.

  • Before getting a permanent eyeliner tattoo makeup, it is essential to discontinue using Latisse or lash serums at least four weeks prior.

The proper way to prepare for my treatment

Switch from contact lenses to spectacles for the session.

Ensure all eye cosmetics are removed. If you have a specific eyeliner style, bring several illustrative photos to your consultation.

Refrain from ingesting alcohol, caffeine, or anticoagulants (such as Aspirin, Ibuprofen, or any other NSAID medicines, fish oil, Niacin, or Vitamin E) 48 hours preceding your appointment to minimise excessive bleeding, which can adversely impact the adherence to the colour.

Steer clear of exposure to sunlight or tanning beds for 30 days, both PRE and POST your session. The shedding of skin following a sunburn can result in the loss of tattoo pigment. Attendance with a recent tan or sunburn necessitates a rescheduling and results in the loss of your deposit.

It is advisable to schedule any holiday plans at least 14 days post-procedure.

Vaccinations/Immunisations – ensure your cosmetic tattoo booking is arranged at least 14 days, either BEFORE or AFTER, to circumvent any possible immune system responses.

Specific cosmetic treatments ought to be concluded before your eyeliner tattooing:

  • Eyelash extensions (to be removed one week before tattooing)
  • Latisse or eyelash serums (halt usage four weeks before tattooing)
  • Eyelash tinting (one week prior)
  • Botox (two weeks prior)

Is there any discomfort?

Discomfort levels differ based on pain threshold and sensitivity. A topical anesthetic (4-5% Lidocaine and 2% Tetracaine) will be used for maximum comfort before and during the procedure. The menstrual cycle may increase pain sensitivity. Factors like sleep, stress, and caffeine can also affect pain sensitivity.

What is the length of time the results last?

Semi-permanent pigments will naturally fade over time. Factors like sun exposure, skin type, general health, and aftercare influence the life of the implanted pigment. Results can last for years, but touch-ups may be needed every 1-2 years to maintain colour and shape. Clients who smoke frequently or have iron deficiency anemia may experience quicker fading. Results differ for each client.

What will the outcome be?

The pigment used in microblading can be bold or soft, depending on the desired look. Immediately after the procedure, the pigment will be darker, more prominent, and crisper, but it will soften and shrink slightly as it heals over the weeks. Typically, black or black brown pigment is used, but unique colour requests can be considered upon inquiry.

What are the expected outcomes of the treatment?

Expectations and desires are discussed during a consultation, and a removable outline is drawn before the procedure. The procedure is typically done on the same day as long as there are no contraindications. Adequate time is allotted for paperwork, before/after photos, topical numbing for 20-30 minutes, the procedure itself, and aftercare review.

During Eyeliner tattooing sessions, your eyes will be closed to prevent any damage or discomfort from seeing the device or needle.

What steps should be taken after the procedure?

Proper aftercare for eyeliner tattooing involves refraining from touching the eyes. At the same time, they heal and avoid sun exposure, water, sweat, skincare products, makeup, and exfoliation in the area for the first 7-10 days. Detailed instructions and an aftercare kit will be provided to ensure the health and longevity of the eyeliner.
